Gentlemen,

We have an opportunity to influence the Weld Wheel industries marketing department. Over the last year I have cultured a relationship with their director of marketing, Gregory Smith. He has been a huge supporter of our charge to the top in the Dodge Off-Road movement. Mr Smith has called me to discuss designs, and such, that the public would like to see in an aftermarket wheel. The time has come for the Dodge Heavy Duty 8 lug wheel to be built. We would like to have the TDR membership help us find a direction to go with new wheel styles. The first wheel and newest to the Weld product line is the "Method". With rugged looks and a black coating, it is a favorite of mine. As always, the wheels in this poll are Weld Forged Wheels.

Next is the Commando, it is the brother to the Commando P. R. O. Beadlock that we run on the off-road trucks. The Commando is probably the toughtest wheel in the industry. With a polished finish, and bold styling, it will surely compliment the look of a Dodge Ram HD.

Finally I have begged for the Cheyenne 8. This is the same design as the Kore/Weld wheel that we sold before. Hundreds of calls about this wheel are fielded. I would love for it to come into production again.

All of these wheels will be 17x8. 5 with 6 inch backspacing. This wheel will allow fitment of 35 inch MT's with no rubbing. A 2-3 inch lift will be needed to clear the tires but no more fender flares!

Our mission is simple. Choose the best wheel, in your opinion, on the poll. Weld will make its decision based partly on what we believe will be the best.

Thank you for your help,

Greg Boardman DRC

I voted for the Method/Black, but I would like to see it in a polished finish as well. Could they make that an option?

Thanks for the hard work in your relations with Weld Greg. Nice to have someone out there working on getting us some new options!

I would vote for the Method if the center cap were black. Any chance of those being made in an 18"?

Good job Greg.

method wheel is my pick, but would it be avalable without the "weld racing usa" on it, or at least a little smaller? big printing on wheels like that looks no good in my opinion, especially with a debadged truck

I think the cheyenne 8 is the best looking wheel. I do like the look of black powdercoating though. Except I don't like the look of the method. They should black out the the cheyenne 8.

I like the Cheyenne as well, as long as the wheel looks like the one in the pic. If you get that wheel done, show some pics of them installed,,, I will be willing to purchase a set.

If the centerline is moved toward the outer part of the rim, it will kill the looks of the wheel. :D

i chose the cheyenne. they all have very nice potential though. my humble opinion is that a black wheel looks nicer in ALL black and i dislike name brands printed all over what i buy. this stuff costs enough as it is; the manufacturers don't need this advertisement space. we found them already. and i'm sorry if i offend with this comment but... ... FAKE bead locks are just plain stoopid. again this is no more than an opinion and i'd like to say again they all have good potential.

The cheyenne 8 at the top look 100 times better then the one below. For starters, the spokes are not as curved. Second, the centerline on the top wheel is set farther back. I like the one on top,,, If something line that becomes available, I will buy it no questions asked.

This is a set of the old cheyenne 8 wheels I purchased almost 3 years ago and put on my truck, but these have 5. 65 backspace which they dont make anymore??????????. The last pic is the Method pro crusher wheel I was looking at about 2 months ago, these are what I am looking for. Build it Greg and they will purchase.

How different a wheel looks with 6 inch backspace compared to the one I posted, which one looks better?. I would love to use correct wheels but taking the flares off aren't an option way to much paint has rubbed off the truck.

I voted Cheyenne 8 but the least they could do is make a Ram specific cap to set it off from all the bazillion other Cheyenne 8's on Fords & GM's out there.

In my opinion simple designs tend to have more of a classic appeal. The Commando is nice but I think it would lose it's appeal in a few years. The Method looks like a snowflake to me. I voted for the Cheyenne 8.
