I've been working for the last several days to redesign the rest of the website to be consistent with the new looks of the forums and add some new features. I installed it tonight and with the exception of a tiny ;) snag with the chat room and readers rigs (that nearly killed me) it all seems to be running great. Hope you like the new look!

Horrible in my opinion...

all the tabs across the top are doubled and shadowed... . hard to read . Just my opinion.

You're probably sick of hearing it, but the buttons are almost impossable to read. I agree that it may be an Explorer problem  . Other than that, the site looks really good. Keep up the good work!

Huh? If there's a problem, I can't see it.

The site looks awesome, Steve. It appears that everything here and elsewhere is becoming more Mac-like in appearance. WinXP is a good example of that.

Buttons look good on Explorer 6. 0 on Windows 2000 Pro, but ironically look bad on Windows 5. 2 on Mac OS X.

Sounds like it is time for some people to start BOMBING their computers. I have win xp and the whole site looks great. I dont think the buttons are doubled, its called shadowed. . lol. Looks good Steve. Like what you done with the home page too.

The problem some of you are having with the buttons is that you have your font size turned up. I'm working on a fix for it. If you change your font size back to medium (which is the default) it will look fine. On IE pull down the view menu to text size then click on medium. The advantage of this style of button is that it loads WAY faster than the old buttons. What your looking at is the button itself is a background and the text on top of the button is html text. By doing it this way only two buttons have to be loaded graphically (4k total) instead of each button being it's own graphic (60k total for the home page). However, if your font size is too large then the table size gets increased and you'll see double buttons because of the text rolling over to two lines. I was made aware of the problem yesterday and I'm trying to see if I can find a solution that will allow larger font sizes while also still giving a fast load time for our dial up users. Bear with me please.

Steve,

That makes sense. I switched font size and you are correct.

However, since me eyes ain't what they used to be, its back to large font:rolleyes: so I can read this stuff without my specs.

:D

I found a solution for the font size/button size problem. It should look correct for everyone now even if you change your font size (the button font size won't change - no choice there). I've tested it in a few browsers and it's coming out fine for me. Let me know if you have any problems with them and if you do let me know what browser and resolution you are running.

Steve...

I still have the "double" bottons with the text wrapping to two lines. Currently running IE 5. 1. 6. Maybe it's time to update?
