Changed out my coolant with flush. Used Peak Long Life concentrate with distilled water. Napa has it on sale this month for $10.99, pre mix for $8.99 also comes with a $5.00 rebate if ya wanna mess with that, I don't.

Also changed out my power steering fluid and added a filter, same one I installed on my '01 last week.

Thanks JR, don't look at my shop tho :D I am fortunate that we live in a dry climate, equipment lasts forever here.

What is that filter? Like a brass screen? Or paper element? I'd second the old truck envy.... I've beat on mine so hard, there's not much left to rebuild this time.... poor ol' High Boys... But maybe? The old Prospectors are getting cracks around the top of the windshield, too..... :(

And your shop? Well, don't pay any attention to the naysayers..... they'll be glad to be in it when they need something no one else in the county has. Packrat, you say? Yep, aren't you glad!! :D I can pack a 3600sq ft shop in 1600 sq ft... just let me find some more file cabinets....

Hmmm, kinda vague on the specs... I like the idea of the magnet in the filter.... I don't see the point in an auto transmission that already has magnets in the pan, but on power steering systems.... I'll have to call and see what else there is to them. o_O

Thanks for the link.

That is an interesting concept, a magnet to remove ferrous metals and a (presumably) paper media to catch non ferrous.

Even more interesting is this statement,

Major OEM's recommend adding 10,000 miles to
your service cycle with the use of the Magnefine filter.

This implies that major OEMs have tested this filter.

This is one unscrewed 2011 vintage filter with 30K+ miles on it. Big honken magnet on the right side of the filter.

Tried to drive the '91 in the rain yesterday and the 2 year old wipers were rotten. I bought a set from Napa $40!! Then it takes a rocket scientist to install them...

Every time I look for wiper blades I remember my uncle's gas station with a little Anco or Trico roll-around cabinet that had blades to fit anything that rolled in, not to mention the handy dandy scale to test the spring tension.
