OK Guys - please look at this page and scroll down to the graph!!!! Please tell me where they got this BS!!!! FOR example they tell me the average cost of Diesel was $3. 15 TWO YEARS AGO!!!!



ALSO - they say Diesel is ONLY about 50 CENTS more per gallon than a Year AGO!!!!!!!!!!!

Take a look at this thread - https://www.turbodieselregister.com...136215-fuel-just-took-grande-jump-here-2.html . I'd say that an average of $3. 15/gal was about right 2 years ago. Remember - that was not long after Katrina. I'd have to say that thinking back about the prices I've paid around here that graph seems pretty accurate to me.

What drives me nuts is that diesel prices don't go up and down like gasoline does. It has been steady at 3. 149 here for about 2 months. Except Wal-mart. under 3. 00. That is the ONLY place I buy my fuel. -Jason

Two years ago I hauled a memorable load of everything from cats to cows down to southern Iowa. One the way there I paid $3. 25 for diesel and I saw it as high as $3. 42.

Fuel has been high for quite a while.

As of today AAA says the AVERAGE price of diesel in Washington State is $3. 61 . . . the highest in the nation by a sizable margin



$3. 54 is the cheapest I've seen locally

Personally, I check the prices on GasBuddy.com - Find Low Gas Prices in the USA and Canada.

Its fairly accurate about the pricing no matter where you are.

In my area (ROy, Utah) the difference between Diesel and gasolene prices is as much as 65 cents/gallon Diesel being the highest. The highest I've seen is $3. 54/gal

Up here in oil province where most of this stuff comes from,filled up today for 98. 9 cent a litre,my company 01 Ford 7. 3 burns $170. 00 every 425 miles of driving,80%city,10%highway,10%idle time(guesstimate). Were taxed to death on all fuel. :{:{:{

The local grocery store (Ingles) is STILL holding at $2. 79 before their $. 03/gallon discount with their card. I am still paying less than $2. 00 a gallon for my fuel with my 1/3 veggie oil mix.

With the concentration I run (max 1/3 veg oil, 2/3 diesel), I do nothing but filter it. I have a cloth filter with wire screen and a drum funnel I pour the oil through, then just pour about 10 gallons per 20 gallons of diesel into the truck's fuel tank. It is easy for me because one of the restaurants I get the oil from puts it back into the 5 gallon jugs the new oil comes in. They filter it daily, then change it weekly, running it through their filter before putting it back in the jug for me to collect. I have been simply filtering and mixing it in the truck fuel tank for almost a year now and have had NO issues. It even smells good running! Engine runs quieter and smokes less. I do not run it in my Liberty or '03 this way though. 12 valves will run just about anything you can put through them, as long as it is clean. I put all my waste engine oil in my '96 fuel tank also.

HOW much of your 98. 9/litre is TAX?????

This is off memory for gasoline so i think diesel would be close---. 10cents Federal excise tax,plus. 09cents Provincial tax and the kicker is the goods and services tax(GST)country wide on the entire fuel that is charged at the end of the purchase with the 2 fed and provincial tax INCLUDED---- the last one is a tax on a tax at 6% of the total purchase. Now our local LIBERAL municipality/city council is eying the idea and(know it all/whats best for the voter)wants to put a surtax of only 1 or 2 more cents tax on fuel. They say its only a couple of cents to help with infra-structure---YEA RIGHT,starts out a few cents but they add more and more every year and once they bring these new taxes in they never seem to go away#@$%!#@$%!#@$%!. SORRY FOR MY RANT.

I paid $3. 15/gallon here in Norwalk, Iowa (2% soy diesel).

But I got a free Sunday Newspaper - woo hoo. Basically, that's about the cost of 1/2 gallon of diesel.
