Can some one tell me what my truck weight was orig. You know from the dealer. 1991 LE250, long bed, 5speed, turbo deisel 5. 9. I only have one book and it does not say? Thanks, burgiebill
I think he's referring to curb weight, and I don't believe that is listed on the decal.
My '92 FSM shows the curb weight for a D250 (2WD) standard cab as 4206 lbs, and 4611 lbs for a W250 (4X4). But, I think that is for a stripped down truck with a gas engine - sounds a bit light for a diesel.
I need to take mine to the local truck stop and get it weighed but haven't had time. I'm kinda interested to see if anyone has weighed their truck - anyone?
Weighed mine at the dump empty one day. Don't remember exactly but I want to say 6700. That's an LE 4x4 regular cab with a toolbox and probably 100 lbs of tools, full fuel tank.
Wow - I was expecting around 6000 pounds. I guess my little Palomino cabover is heavier than I thought - the truck and camper tipped the scales at 7700 lbs.
wow, thanks for all the replys. yes i did mean curb weight. bummer, i got my finger caught between a grinder and a piece of metal. my finger did not win and its hard to type with one hand. 16 stiches, oh my. thanks for all the replys. burgiebill
My friend had to weigh a '93 D250 LE 5spd regular cab, no spare, no jack, hardly any fuel. Michigan wanted him to buy a much more expensive license for a vehicle over 5000 lbs. It weighed in at just under 5000 at the grain elevator, and just over 5000 by the State Trooper's portable scales. She let him slide...
I weighed in at the dump a while back - W350 LE 5 speed, extended cab. Full of fuel (2 tanks - aprox 60 gallons), it went across the scale at 7080 lbs.
