Further reading (some place) states that weight of truck includes as equiped, plus driver and full tank of fuel anything you add, passengers, supplies etc. is deducted from payload. Greater number of plies in tires, heavier wheels, heavier springs, etc. will NOT add greater carrying capacity to vehicle, in fact, most often it detracts from payload owing to added weight.
