Weird A/C problem on 03

My uncle has a new 03 2 wheel drive with the SLT package and tongiht while in the hot air noticed that the air coming from the vents on the passenger side were not blowing cold air; the strange part is the ones on the drivers side are blowing very cold air out??? Now I know on the Laramie it is dual zone and could see something witht he electronics however this does not have the dual zone what could make the air be cold on one side and not the other they are blwoing equal amounts of air so it is not a restriction or anything and the vents respond to all level functions. Anyone with ideas? could he have somehow ended up with a dual zone system without the electronics?

There have been some problems with broken doors in the heater plenum box's. Before mine was repaired it would blow everything out the defrost or dash ducts but nothing would come out the floor. It could be that the door is broken and stuck in some other position. Time to take it to the dealer.
