Weird humming/vibration noise

My Dad's truck is experiencing a strange humming/vibration at 55-60 mph's. Then today he had a 1000# load in the bed and he said it was occurring at 35mph's. His truck seems significantly underpowered in relation to my 92(but it always was that way). I drove the truck down the road and experienced the humming for myself and when I got home I tried to check the turbo to see if something was wrong with it, but really wasnt sure what to look for. I have noticed that you cannot hear the turbo at all while driving. Do any of you believe this could be a turbo related issue or something in the driveline?



Also it is not the O/D button as he turned it off and it was still making the same humming noise.

My carrier bearing made a noise at certain rpms. My rear end is making a deep whine noise, at certain speeds it is really noticible. I have had bad u joints that have made noises at certain speeds as well.

the yokes on the 70's wear out and get loose as well



same goes for the straps...



they have to be ground sometimes to get things tight again
