Recently my truck has started making a grinding or popping noise intermittently when going down the highway. At first I thought it could possibly be the turbo but I removed the air filter and checked shaft play and it doesn't seem to have any at all. The truck has new ball joints, and the u joints in the front axle seem to be fine. It is coming from the front passenger side when going down the highway and it only seems to do it after the truck has ran for along time. To be exact the other day it started after about 20 miles and then today I drove the truck an hour before it started doing this. When I got home I checked stuff over and let it set for over and hour and took the truck back out on the highway and the sound is gone. I would like to post a video of it and get peoples opinions https://share.icloud.com/photos/0YoCqqAuWYlm7eYtarCh6N3Eg

What about the transfer case? You may want to check it out. When it pops, do you feel it or just here it? Also, Have you checked the front bearings. You may have a bearing going bad. Look at the bearings first.
