I was driving into work this am and start hearing a hi pitch whine kind of coming from around mid area right side of truck... ... it come in around 48 mph peaks at 50 anything over 50 it goes away and as soon as I go below 50 it disapears... ... . any Ideas?
Put the r. up on jack stands to run, get a stethascope from tools/parts house , use the steel rod and start touching anything that has a bearing , thats my guess with truck running off the ground you should be able to track it down.
Do a search on "howling noise" and you'll come up with two or three threads concerning rear drive-shaft and carrier bearing noise that has a standard Dodge fix.
