Looking to convert my truck to rr disc using an OE diff. Am concerned that my Weld Wheels may not clear the calipers as I had to machine the drums before the wheels would clear them. The wheels are 16x8 Typhoon. Hoping that upgrading the brakes won't lead to having to get new wheels also. Maybe someone in Dallas area or region with a 01. 5 or 02 2500 with factory rear discs that might meet me and let me try one of my wheels on their truck for fit? I have a rear diff located, just hate to buy it and escalate my problems. Thanks

James

Is it worth doing?

Hi all, I've considered switching my 99 Ram 3500 Dually 2WD over to rear disc brakes. . . what's it take to do this and is it worth the expense? Most my diesel docs say not worth it or at least wait until what I have is worn out. But all these Docs have newer trucks that have 4 wheel discs.

Be Safe,

Steve J.
