Anybody tried one of the "under the hood" welding machines such as the one at mobiweld.com? Thought it might come in handy if it's worth the money.

I have a Link Arc welder under the hood of my Jeep. I love it, I have used it for many trail repairs,I built a fence at my mom's with it, and even sealed up rust holes in the doors to a Nike Missel bunker. The only problem is all the repairs were on other persons stuff not mine so you become very popular with the people that want one but do not have one.

I had one on my ford. Loved it. The high power alternator was a treat. My only complaint was the voltage regulator. It has to be perfect or you will have problems. I used mine on a couple of trail repairs. The people I helped were happy that I cam along when I did. I still have a pretty good reputation with the manufacturer. Email me if you want more details.
