New Member Observations

Racing a PSD from La. on I-10 into Texas!

they made me run faster than I ever have last night in the 1/4 mile. #ad

I ran 14. 16 down from 14. 28 that was my preveious best with the 5sp and a mccleod. The BD auto worked flawlessly to push my 6340lb truck to 98. 3mph. Now to get new tc in and a little pump tweaking to get into the 13's next time out. #ad

Great Job Adam!

Was that with all the goodies on (i. e. propane and NOS?) At what point did you manually lock up the torque convertor during the run?

I can't wait to see what times you run after you get a decent torque convertor in there!

I've never dreamed of running 13's myself. Now it seems quite possible. You give me hope. #ad

Congradulations Adam, I will be going to the track in a month, still snow on the ground around here, and they are calling for more this week, Bummer!

That is flying in a truck that heavy with a 12 valve!

I was suprized to, that was no lpg and only turning on the nos after lockup in forth so there is plenty left in there. I also didn't use 4wd to launch fearing my dredded breakage problems I've had in the past. I need to make it up to BD for dyno days next weekend to get the NEW tc installed #ad
then we can give her some more power. #ad

I still never get used to peoples attitudes and faces when they see me line up, rattlin away biggol lifted diesel on 35's,,,,,,,, running low 14's at almost 100mph. #ad

Then when I get back there are 20 people wanting to know "what did you do to that thing???? #ad

Your approaching the 13's !!!
I can still remember when I was much younger, a friend of mine ran a Challenger w/ a 440 six-pac at Union Grove all the time.
He ran in the 13's & I got to ride in it a few times. What a rush! I wanted to buy it real bad when he decided to sell it, but at that time my father wouldn't let me. Some even younger kid bought it & wrapped it around a telephone pole within two weeks!

Anyways, the 13's are some real nice territory to be in. Here's to you going even faster!

I spent yesterday in Martinez at Adam's (#2) shop. We collaborated on a tubular platform platform to mount the B&M "Pro Ratchet" shifter on. I think you'll like it.

I Hope to leave on Monday for BD dyno days. We may take a detour along the way to install an auto transmission #ad
This is fun switching to clutchless shifting eh?
