Congrats on a wise choice. My FE has had 0 problems after 2 years, 40+K miles, several drag races and a few dyno runs :D

Thanks, It should be here any day now.

Since i just got my taxes back I will be getting it installed instead of trying to put it in in my gravel driveway.

Congrats on the clutch, I just bought one from south bend on friday, should be here tuesday is my guess.

Judging my your nick you must be in the same profession. How long you been at it? I got my EMT in 98 and am now finishing my Paramedic. Really enjoy the emergency field.

Hope your install goes good and you like everything about it.

The OFE is a very nice clutch.

I've been running my OFE since before last years Thunder in Muncie (June 6-8).

Since then I've put aout 20,000 miles on it.

I dyno'd 457RWHP/950RWTQ. My 1/4 times give me numbers between 480-500RWHP.

I "powershift" at the track, and this clutch holds good. After all night of racing, it starts getting a little weak when shifting from 5-6 but if I BARELY let up on the fuel pedal (during the shift) the clutch holds TIGHT.

It seems to me, the more you slip it, the better it starts holding. Break it in real nice, slip it some but don't smoke it.

Don't be suprised when you take the clutch out for a drive around the block and it doesn't hold the power. Your SBC will slip right out of the box, it takes about 500-1,500 miles to fully seat the clutch.

The only problem I have with my OFE,,, it's not big enough! :p I'm wanting to do some more Ponies,, but I don't think the OFE will like me. So I'm just puttin' around with "only" 500RWHP.

I'm waitin' for the clutch to slip, but it's taking FOREVER.

Peter makes some serious clutches.

It's hereOo. My friend is a tractor mechanic/auto mechanic. He said he would let me do it in his shop and is going to help me.

He said he wanted to tackle it because he never has worked on a CTD, because they never break down. Well almost never.
