After checking and checking and checking, I just couldn't help myself... . I went ahead and bought a 2012 Dodge ram 3500 4x4 ST 4dr max tow etc etc!. . 20K of towing they say. :) I traded my old faithful 2005 CTD 4x4 3500 in .

I am overly pleased to start with by being able to cruise at 70 and 1800RPM. . just like my 2001 2500 4x4 with 3:55 gears(I think they were 3:55).

Its silver with no frills. Has the chrome group, interior package etc. The dealer was ****** that I did not buy the "extended warranty"... You would have thought I hurt his daughters feeling or something...

Anyhow, I'm a happy camper for now. have to get the 5th hitch put back on, get a alarm system etc.

I guess the only question I have is, I plan on re-installing my 90 gal aux tank with gravity flow to the fuel filler neck . With all the electronic gizmos etc for smog, will that effect anything or throw codes?

Thanks in advance.

The dealer I bought from had the "setup" girl approach me during the finance stage about extended warranty and a whole host of other "options". When I declined all her services, they sent in the "closer". His whole job, he said, was to "save" us thousands of dollars on these "options". He got real mad when I declined all his services too. All I wanted was the truck at the agreed upon price. Bottom line is, I got what I wanted.

I put a 50 gallon Transfer Flow tank in my longbed dually. It throws no codes nor does it effect anything except gives me a lot longer time in between fillips.

These 2012 Ram trucks are AWESOME!!

Awesome!

I am towing a 32ft toy hauler here out west with my '05. I plan to go with a 2013-2014 with 4:10's and can hardly wait considering how nice these new trucks are!

Have fun!

JGilbert, is your transfer flow tank use a pump to transfer fuel or gravity?

Mine uses a pump to transfer fuel from the aux tank to the main tank. It is totally automatic. I like the fact that I do not need to pay attention to when to start the pump and when to stop it.

I have mine set up to pump from the aux tank into the filler neck of the oem tank. No trouble so far. Thinking on when I get home looking into the 60 gallon oem replacement fuel tank. Pulling heavy trailers across country you just can't carry enough fuel imo.

Thanks Jeepit. Okie-Go, I have the 96 gallon RDS tool/combo tank. I'd love to have the 60gals
+96gals...
