after 99600 miles on this rebuilt transmission the main shaft went , I was going up a grade and slowing down the transmission shifted into drive and I threw in lockup the tach went all the way to the governor. I know what I won't do next . Call Dave Goerend told him of my problems and he sent out a new torque convertor , how can you beat that for service, called Monday and arrived on Wednesday if only I could get the transmission shop to move that fast . Might get it back by this Monday . Watch that mystery switch. :{ :{ :{

Sounds familar

I did the same thing to my input shaft. :eek:

ATS shipped the billet input and hub, sun gear, and new shims/bearings. I had the parts in 2 days! :D

Torque converter was A-ok. :)

Locked up and shifting strong! :cool:

I don't use the T/C lock anymore but I keep it installed for dyno runs.

My trans got damaged on a dyno run at a shop in Wausau last year. Two days later (almost a year to the day after Dave G. put a trans into it for me) it died (turned out to be a planetary gear). While waiting for a tow truck I called Dave and told him the situation. He apologized for not having a trans he could ship the next morning but I told him no problem, I might want to make changes. A few days later the new trans showed up with a new T/C (the old one was contaminated). I told him it probably got hurt on the dyno run (no one else will ever run my truck on a dyno again) and he still covered it under warrantee.
