Had to replace my block mounted transmission cooler the other day. Found ATF in my coolant, but fortunately no coolant in the ATF. Quite the PITA to replace. I replaced the radiator too, I figured with 225k it would need doing sooner or later. The old one weighed about 5lb (drained) more than the replacement one (OEM), and the truck runs about 10 degrees cooler now in traffic with the A/C on. Obviously the old one had some sedimentation from age & miles.
