Wendy's Chili is "Finger Lickin' Good"... Isn't that KFC's motto?

I think she's lying and was just trying to get money out of them, but when they didn't bend over right away, she dropped the case. If it's legit, she has money coming to her, so I don't buy the "stress" answer for dropping the case. If she is found to be making it up, I hope she is held accountable.

She definitely sounds like someone trying to abuse the legal system. If they prove she's guilty of trying to scam Wendy's, she needs to spend some good contemplative time in jail - and give a good portion of her earthly wealth as restitution. If, on the other hand, Wendy's finds some chili-meat grinder with 9 and a half fingers, that woman probably won't ever have to work again.

Several months ago my wife found a used latex glove buried in her Wendy's salad. Not as bad as finding a finger, but I'll guarantee it fixed her appetite for the evening!!

The really sick part is if this ever went to court I bet there would be a judge that would find Wendy's at fault. Just like the stupid woman that spilled hot coffe on herself then sued, and WON. Coffee is hot, next time don't spill it STUPID!!!!!

You ought to read the facts in the McDonald's case first - if she'd spilled normal coffee on herself I'd agree with you, but the coffee was 45 degrees hotter than what you get from a Mr. Coffee. Over 700 people had similar burns, and the woman in the case originally just wanted them to pay her medical bills. McDonald's deserved what they got. There are plenty of cases of tort abuse - that case is NOT one of them. THIS case is sounding more and more like an attempt to screw Wendy's - latex gloves notwithstanding - and if they can prove she planted that finger, she needs to be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

Our local newspaper had an article yesterday that she is not suing Wendys now.

Seems that someone found out that in the past she has had several cases where she sued someone else in similar situations?

Wonder if her attorney decided that taking this one on a contingency basis was going to cost him???? :-laf

They need to make an example out of her and throw the book at her and lock her away for the rest of her life and send a message to all the lazy,greedy,sue-happy make a quick buck at someone else's expense people(if you want to call them people). I hate people like that! I have seen quite a few good things ruined by someone suing them for their own stupidity and greed.

Y'all know I'm a big fan of the judiciary (being a court employee and all) - but if this woman is proved guilty of trying to use the court for monetary shenanigans, she ought to be given the harshest possible punishments and made an example of for decades to come.

" if she'd spilled normal coffee on herself I'd agree with you, but the coffee was 45 degrees hotter than what you get from a Mr. Coffee. Over 700 people had similar burns"

So there are 700 other idiot's out there... ... ... ... ... I guess that does justify the cold cup of coffee I get at Mc Donalds now

Spilling a normal hot cup of coffee will hurt, but it won't burn you like the pre-lawsuit McD's coffee would. If your McD's sells you cold coffee, buy it someplace else or make it yourself. Simple enough!

I would almost bet that she made a deal with one of her friends to 'contribute' the finger and she would 'share' the $$ from Wendy's. There are plenty of meth and crack heads out there that would cut off part of a finger for $$.
