Well I have already started adding goodies to my new RAM 2500. Overall I do not foresee BOMBing the truck extensively because it will be my daily driver and should perform as required in stock trim. Besides I have a 98 Cobra vert that puts down well over 450 RWHP for a hotrod/hobby car. That car pretty well takes care of "My need for speed". All of the Go Fast Goodies have been installed by my son and I.
Today I ordered a Westach Combination EGT/Boost gauge, a Westach - dual temperature universal gauge with two (2) 1/8" NPT sensors and Autometer dual gauge full A - pillar pod to house the new gauges. Most of the installation is pretty straight forward except for the 1/8" sensors for the dual temperature universal gauge. My plan is to use the dual temperature universal gauge to monitor transmission fluid to the transmission cooler and engine oil to the oil cooler.
My question is: What is the recommended method to integrate the 1/8" sensors into the transmission and oil lines? Is there a well available that is somehow spliced into the lines in which the sensors are installed? In my mind there are a couple of different ways the sensors could be adapted to the cooler inlet lines but would appreciate any guidance if you all have an accepted method. Thank you in advance for your help
