Well I thought I had this all figured out. Was going to put the combo gague in the new steering column pod and the westach fuel pressure in the cubby hold. BUT, I had a message on the machine yesterday from Geno's that the combo gague won't fit in the steering column pod. Has anyone done this? What modifications are necessary to make it work?

Thanks,

-Vic

In the Geno's catalog it says in bold letter that Westach gauges will not work in the column pod. I'm sure there's a reason why it won't.

Beem there done that. The bezel of the westach gauges are too thick, they hit the spokes of the steering wheel. I had to get a Stewart Warner fuel gauge, the old ugly one they have been making for years. They need to re-design the pod. If you figure something else out let me know cuz the stewart warner gauge is ugly. Ed

I used the Westac EGT/boost gage in the column mount.

I had to cut one of the bracket studs off, remove the sticker on the gaga and force it into the mount. No problems except I had to enlarg the sli=ot at the back for the hose and wires.

Correction. I had a problem and didn't know it. I ordered from the 34 catalog and it didn't say anything about not using Westach gages in the steering colum pod-so I did.

Today i went and checked closen. i had to take a file and smooth down the buttom edge fo the gage face quite a bit . It is black plastic so black shoepolish covered my goofs. I also raised the mount up about 1/4 " on the right side. It is not down on the column on the right side but seem firm. I don't even consider changing or moving the gage.
