Westach gauge light help

Installed the westach combo gauge tonight, I went to insert the 1 inch long light into the gauge and to my surprise it only went in about 3/4 of the way, leaving a small portion sticking out. I tryed again and again to insert it all the way. I shoved a paperclip inside the gauge to see if something had gotten in there. So finally I just figured thats the way it works. Well, after turning my lights on, the darn thing dosn't illuminate worth a crap, just a tiny portion has any light. So obviously something is messed up. Any suggestions? anybody else have this problem? I waited 5 weeks for this thing, I don't think I have the patience to send it back.

I can't imagine whats in there. I was able to slide mine all the way through untill I could see it in the face (which was too brite). I think you may indeed want to send it back.

I had to wiggle mine around a little but it finally went all the way in.

Move it back and forth while turning it and it should go all the way in. Mine was the same way.
