Got my combo gauge installed tonight, not sure it's functioning properly. I lost the instruction sheet showing which lead goes to which numbered terminal but I think I have it in right. Boost side is working fine so I know I have the 12V connection correct. Kinda concerned about the EGT side. I was only showing about 400-500F in short bursts w/my Quad box on 30hp. It never got above 500F like I thought it would. After my test, it also almost immediately cooled down to read about 200F w/out hardly any cooldown time. Could the leads for the thermocouple be reversed and giving me bogus readings? Not that keen on the innerworkings of the gauge/thermocouple so w/out the instruction sheet, it's very possible I have them backwards if that makes a difference. Any help greatly appreciated or an email scan of the instruction sheet would be just as good.

Have one of these laying on the table to install. Just plugged the wires onto the gauge a few minutes ago. It is next door, I will send the wiring directiions tomorrow when I go to work. Maybe that will straighten everything out.

I had one that wouldn't go above 800 degrees after a couple of months. I took it to Westach and they tested it, took it apart, looked it over and said it was ok. I replaced the thermocouple and it still didn't work. I had to have an EGT gauge so I replaced it. I tested the gauge by heating the old thermocouple with a torch and putting about 20 lbs of pressure on the boost side. It wouldn't go over 800. Take the boost off and the EGT worked great. I sent the gauge back and they found the needles were touching. PITA. Now I have a spare it seems.
