I am so bugged out by the DC dealerships that hassle us about our mods. I have been in and out of many DC dealerships... I usually go for my regular services. I have even been hassled for having a dealer installed PacBrake on my truck.

It seems as if the dealers we assume are going to hassle us don't. And, the dealers we're sure are going to be cool... turn out to be total pricks.

I have had good experiences with Downey Dodge in Southern California, Moss Dodge in San Bernardino, California and Henson Motors in Madisonville, Texas.

If you have had a really good experience with a Westcoast DC dealer that hasn't hassled you about your mods. Please post the dealers name here. Thanks!

I too have heard wonderful things about Carson Dodge, I almost bought my truck there. I ended up buying my truck from Henson Motors in Madisonville, Texas.

I'll definitely make the trip up to Carson Dodge NV. I'm there 3 times a year!

Took the Dakota in for windshield wiper recall.

The service manager said they had make sure they weren't "modified" before he could authorize a loaner.

I bought my ol' '97 there also! Beat any local ***aler by $8500 back then !!!! Only reason I bought my 03 here was I had 3 trades to dump at the same time and didn't feel like renting a 3 place hauler and then coming back empty!!

Wow, Menlo Park and Eldorado Hills both say Carson City NV nothing around the Sacramento area??

Thats because the Dodge dealers in the Sacramento area are not mod friendly dealers. Also, as an FYI, do NOT go to Folsom Lake Dodge in Folsom, Ca to buy a new truck if you're in the market for a new one. They mark up the price by $10,000. 00 on ALL CTD Rams. I found out the hard way this past weekend. Also, El Dorado Dodge in Shingle Springs, Ca has closed its doors indefinetly due to a forced change in ownership. At least, thats what it says on the note taped to the front door to the showroom.

Thanks, I swung by Carson Dodge, NV... boy did they take care of me. They serviced the truck in less than 5 hours, and gave us a brand spanking new loaner car. Thumbs up Carson Dodge!

I bought my truck from El Dorado Dodge in Shingle Springs. $31,900 out the door.

Folsom lake Dodge, you where able to purchase the following:

2005 RAM 2500 Quad-CTD-Auto 4X4 with Big Horn Edition for $32,999.

Same at Swift Dodge in Sacramento.

Mod friendly,,, El Dorado Dodge told me to my face, put anything on it,,, we will void the warranty. NO ELECTRONICS!

What really irks me is that I go in for warranty work not even nearly related to my mods, and the service writer or mechanic starts pointing at my gauges, intake, or exhaust.

Looking for a mod-friendly dealer does not mean I'm trying to get free injector replacements, a new pressure relief valve, new u-joints etc. that may go bad due to the additional stresses put on my truck by adding horsepower.

I had to convince a service writer at a dealership to do my door seal TSB under warranty after he saw my gauges. He said my truck was modified, so no warranty! I asked about the window tint TSB, and his reply was that tint is illegal in CA, so he would not do the inner weather strip TSB for the '03 trucks.

What I don't get is that things like this make the dealer money. Why do they hassle me for having some gauges when I don't even have an engine/transmission related repair?

Even if I did have a problem, I wouldn't let the local hacks work on my truck anyway. The two times I had my truck serviced when I first bought it they added almost 4 gallons of oil! 10w30 to boot!

Amador Motors in Sutter Creek may be a good source.

I needed ball joints and left the VA and SPA gauges on, they never said anything. They are a 5 star so I am sure would need to watch for mods that did cause trouble they are working on but it was nice they didn't slap me when the request was for ball joints.

I will make a note to self on the Carson Dodge. **Knocks on wood & hopes I never need any warranty work**

Purchased my truck in Texas "Maxwell Dodge" in Austin off of Hwy 620. Really mod-friendly. My sales lady Mellissa tried to sale me an Edge before I left the lot

I get all of my oil-changes done at Folsom Lake Dodge in Sacramento, County. So far dealing with Joe in the service dept, hasn't said anything about my mods.

The dealer up here in Victorville (5 STAR) is really good to me. The Service Manager is a TDR member and knows what's up. SHE drive a CTD herself. My motor has a "warranty restriction" because I had Scheid replace the motor instead of DC. But for normal warranty stuff they are way cool. The only thing I do is turn down the TST ot 2/1 so if they descide to drive it. But they've never done that. I even had a tech ask me about the things I'd done to it one time. When he was done fixing the stereo I gave him ride in it.

Folsom lake dodge is really great for getting warranty work done with the mods still on. i just went straight to the service manager after having problems at swift dodge in sacramento. my lower track bar bolt kept coming loose even after swift dodge had tightened it then they decided they didnt want to fix it anymore. turned out it was a bad track bar bushing, Folsom Lake replaced track bar and havnt had a problem since. i havnt taken my truck anywhere else but Folsom Lake for TSB's and warranty stuff. they are a real class act. service managers name is Ron.
