Not that I am scared of losing my fuel pressure, but thanks to the many messages in this forum I know it is smart to get a fuel pressure gauge. I already have Westech gauges and called Genos to order the 16PSI fuel pressure gauge that they carry in their catalog. They are out of them. My problem is that they will not have them in stock until after I start a cross country trip.

Can anyone recommend another supplier and also tell me what I need to attach to a 98. 5 ISB engine. Genos has a kit, but again it won't be in until after I start my trip. If I know what materials are needed, I assume I can get these from most auto parts places.

Looking for someone to provide any information.

Thank You,

Bob Caldwell

I tried to order from Westach when I got mine & they said I had to go through a dealer. I got mine from Geno's. They are probably backordered from the manufacturer although I don't know for sure. if you want the Westach you might have to wait. Otherwise mount another brand & sell it when the Westach is available. With the history of lift pump failures any guage is better than none @ all. Oh yeah, I found my lift pump was bad as soon as I installed my guages. Well worth the money.

i went to my local hot rod shop and bought a fuel pressure gauge for 8 dollars. A very high quality one at that. Then a 24 inch grease gun hose from pepboys. Ran it under the hood and on the black outside window sil. $16 bucks for a quicky till i get a fancy one. Ray

Hmmm... . there must have been a change in policy recently. I ordered all of my gauges, senders, t'couple, etc. directly from Westach in the last 1/2 of 2001. Most of them were from the catalog, but I worked directly with Westach to get my dual combo fuel pressure gauge. I've worked directly with them to get two sending units for the post-filter fuel pressure (before I installed the gauge snubber) replaced as well. I've had excellent service working directly with them.

Yeah, that's what I was told. Maybe the guy was new or Westach didn't want my money. There was a slight delay in mine because the triple pillar was backordered & I told Geno's to ship everything @ one time. I ordered set ups for 2 different trucks. I got great service from Geno's too BTW.

:--) OK, open mouth & insert foot. I want to set this straight. Westach would sell me but not @ a better price than what I found @ Geno's. I was talking to about 8-9 sources for the gauges & it's been a little while since I did. I hate getting old:( . They told me that I could do better on pricing somewhere else(I appreciate the honesty) & I chose Geno's because I knew they would direct me on the fittings & directions I would need. I DEEPLY regret any confusion I created here. I also want to APPOLOGIZE to the people @ Westach. I am greatly satisfied with their product. Maybe I can sleep tonight. Please don't flame me, my hair's falling out as it is.
