Want To See How Small We Actually Are !!!

'Aint that the truth!....(long)

So here I am, hauling @ss to work like usual, and I was playing little smoke games with some idiot in a piece of crap 1979 F-150. . I finally haul butt and get away from his greaseball POS, and get to my exit for work. . when I come off the ramp, I notice a dead dog, as well as one surrounding it. . I slowed down, looked at the dog whose life was still in jeapordy, and decided to stop and check it out for myself. . Turns out it's a blue heeler, about 1-2 years old, and he was defending the other dog who got hit and went to Dog Heaven today... There were two people who were just sitting in the parking lot, looking at the two dogs, and were not even concerned about the welfare of the dog who was still alive. . I even asked them what they were going to do, and they had no reply. . This is when I took things into my own hands, walked onto the frontage road, picked up this beautiful little blue heeler, and took him to work with me!! I have 2 dogs already, and I am not sure what I am going to do with this one, but I could not live with myself if I would have left him there. . Oh yeah, and he is blind in one eye to make it even better... He is asleep at my feet right now, and I am so glad I was able to spare his life. . I am sure he is/was traumatized, seeing his partner hit and killed by some person who just kept on driving, and laying there for dead... Oh well, sorry, had to vent. .

We're not anywhere near you, but we've been debating getting another German Shorthaired Pointer. The one we have now (Diesel) is a great dog, but I often think he'd be happier with a friend.

I'm a softie when it comes to dogs, and it's situations like this where I feel more for dogs than people.

Hope you find him a good home. What's a Blue Heeler look like - any pics handy?

Chris, You are a great person for doing what you did! I would say drop him off here but it's a long drive up. Is it possible to make him a office/shop dog where you work? Maybe ask your family and friends first and then check with some local ranchers if they would like him. How close are you to an airport? Maybe I would buy the lil guy a plane ticket to Iowa. You deserve a medal for doing what you did man!

God Bless! Chris

In my best Paul Harvey voice:

I hit a dog today because I couldn't see from the billowing clouds of smoke some bung hole was belching in front of me... .

Now you know the rest of the story. :D

Heelers are great dogs.
