Thats nice HOSS! I wish that the pic showed the front tires better, I think that you may have pulled the front just a little on that run!

I have had a few people say they have seen light under the drivers side front  I an having a hard time believing it though. It pulls hard but not that hard

Sweet pictures :D What kind of 60 ft times are you guys pulling?

Ted

My best is a 1. 86

Fletcher is doing much better than that. I hope to take a lot off that next season.

Dam HOSS!! That looks AWESOME!

A 1. 86 ?

In my 4wd (Launching in 2wd) I ran a 1. 90 60' Launching with 15psi. ?

I had 36" tires up front, and my 31" slicks on the rear,, so maybe my weight transfer (fromt eh retarded looking rake) helped plant the tires better?

Get some more weight transfered! :)

What kind of RPM/boost are you leaving the line with?

This is where a higher stall converter might help with the launch... but you'd be blowing through it going down the track. Darn tradeoffs...

The joy of lock-up converters Baby. !

The trade off then is parts breakage. SWEET CARNAGE!!

20 to 25 lbs of boost :D the converter is loose enough to handle it and bang the lock up on the second gear shift and hang onto your shorts

Suncoast auto some trucks have all the fun!!!!!!!

That really shows the difference of exhaust velocity between a single stack and a double stack! (or reaction time) :)

Cool shot  :D

How many converters have you fried from having the somewhat 'loose' fluid coupling and locking it up in 2nd? Seriously... No flames intended.

I have had a couple different ones in the truck. First one was TOO tight!!!!

next one TOO loose

This one is JUST RIGHT!!!!!!!!!!! :D

I'm glad you've had good luck with it. Loose fluid coupling and high HP/torque usually spells disaster for torque converter clutches... sounds like you've found one that holds up. Good for you, man.

Keep getting them short times and ET's lower... it's awesome to see the numbers dropping!

Matt

Any multi disk converter, I don't care who's it is is tough as nails. .

Hoss you need to come in Utah and play with Richard and myself at the RMR and Edge next year.

Hoss, I was wondering how you did at the drags.

I was planning on being down there for the whole weekend of fun and diesel (and tire) smoke but my work schedule changed.

Congrates on the second place!

The converter I am running now has been in the truck all season. I have over 75 runs on it and a lot of street driving also, as well as a HUGE burnout at Diesel Thunder :D No problems yet, Suncoast builds a awsome transmission :D
