I don't know if any one is having this problem but the paint is chipping on the top side of the front fenders. It's big chips and you can see the metal below, looks like the paint just came loose. Look like to much for touchup paint. The trucks a 94 with green paint. I wonder if dodge will fix it? Any thoughts?

Dodge has had a lot of problems with paint sticking over the years. I had to wait a month or so when I order one of my trucks because of issues with Emerald Green.

The best suggest that I could give is to do a lot of web searching. There was stuff out there the last time that I looked. There have been varying success in getting DC to do anything about it though. A number of people had to take legal action to get anything to happen.

Do your research first then plan on a long haul. Good luck!

I noticed a paint chip on my Y2K, while washing it today. It's in a spot that couldn't have been hit by anything off the road or from a door ding. Looks like I'll be doing some touch up soon.

My '95 (Emerald Green/Driftwood 2-tone) is peeling on the top of the cab. I just went over 100,000 miles. Does anybody know if DC will pay for some of the re-paint if it is over 100K?

Its a sad note when the auto companys use the wrong paints. Its my understanding they try to buy all componments as cheap as they can and I have to wonder if they might not get a great deal on a trillion gallons of primer and then get a great deal on the topcoat from another company and bingo, they aren't compatable. {When GM hired me they told us they would buy products from Ford if they were the cheapest. } Painting requires certain rules to be followed and I think sometimes the factories just blow it. When the paint peels, its delamination and something was done wrong. Lexus pays a lot of attention to their paint jobs and just try to find orange peel on their cars.
