Anybody use one of these? (p7100 timing)

Botched SBC install and new Zoom ZVT Intall ; findings and review

Anyone try this gauge yet?

I notice that geno's is selling a Di-pricol Electric fuel pressure gauge... . Must be new? Anyone out there running one yet?

I have been running an autometer Phantom and the sensor is very sensitive... . Just wondering how the new electric danin FP is?

Also trying to figure out why its cheaper than the mechanincal one?

I just installed the electric gauge, as I did no want fluid of any kind in the cab of my truck. Only been in a week, but so far very happy with the gauge. The rest of my gauges are isspro.

I have been running Isspro EV Series Mechanical 5 years no problems. Oo.

Just thought I'd add my 0. 02 fwiw-

I bought (from Genos - great people ) the Autometer Phantom electric fuel gauge and the metal fuel filter cover. Screwed the fuel pressure sender directly into top of cover. Gauge works fine. Flutters about 0. 5 lbs while running, and I wouldn't be surprised if that was actual pressure changing because fluid movement is rarely exactly static in pressure.

I've seen (and respect) other posts indicating never to mount the pressure sender directly to an engine mounted item in order to protect it from vibration, and I've also seen posts indicating use of some dampening devices to prevent wild fluctuations on the gauge. I decided to try mine w/ sender directly mounted in fuel filter cap for ease of installation and ease of filter change (just unplug the wire harness and unscrew the cap as normal). So far (about 6 months) no problems at all and very happy with it.

The electric fuel pressure gauges are stepper motor driven, which requires

some "more than basic" control circuitry, miniaturized to fit inside the little

gauge package. Hence the added cost. Happy with mine so far, I'd recommend it (and Genos) without hesitation.
