I am building up a 1998 2500 12v auto.

I have a full billet Suncoast transmission already installed but that is all.

My plan is:

II SPS 62 or 64

DDP Stage 3 or 4 injectors.

191 or lazer cut delivery valves

4" exhaust

AFE stage 2 proguard 7 filter

4000 gsk

60# valve springs

AFC spring kit

#4 plate

Boost and post turbo gauges

What do you think? I am looking for around 500 hp daily driving stop and go traffic.

Any suggestions or alternatives.

I tried to reach Brady at II but, have'nt recieved a return call yet.

I also emailed Budda a few days ago and have'nt heard from them either.

I've never had such a problem trying to spend money.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Jeff

JMO, I would not concider the 62 unless twins are in your future plans, go for the stage 4 injectors and skimp on the d. v. 's to make it more driveable (smoke-wise). Are you going to stick with the 180 pump? Good luck and have fun.

Jeff, your limitting factor is your pump. In my 97, I had a similar set up and dynoed regularly @ 490 hp. My mods were 4k gsk, 60 lb springs, hx-40, . 20 head gasket, 370 inj. , zero plate, and the pump was adjusted on the bench to work with my setup. Your truck is a 95 which has the 160 pump. Your pump will hold you back. Now some on this board have seen close to 500 on your pump but they also had some changes make on the pump to give the fuel required. Do a serch on the 160 hp pump in the 12v forum and you will be able to find the info you need.

I have seen 500 with a 160 pump zero plate injectors super b turbo and few more items it can be done but doing it without smoke not sure unless you hardly press down to far on go pedal. and you will probably need to change fuel by pass valve and stuff.

He said he's building a 98 12v not the 95 in his sig.

The change from 181's to 191's is not worth the money whatsoever. People have made 600+ HP on stock 181's, no need to change them unless you go to laser cuts.

Definitely go with the DDP4's, you will not regret it.

I would atleast go with the 64mm super phat shaft, a 62 may run hot if you go with laser cut DV's down the road.

IMO the AFC spring kit is not worth it, just put the star wheel all the way forward and the stocker is fine. My truck is more responsive with the stock spring, I just yesterday changed out my light TST afc spring for the stocker and it drives much nicer now with more response. I have both springs if you want to buy them from me, I'm not interested in them anymore. You'll have to find screws and I'm sure you have a 4mm allen wrench but I'll sell the 2 springs for $20 shipped to your door USPS priority.

Super B turbo? Thats way underturbo'd for 500 HP, they are only efficient to 400 the EGT's must have been soaring high.

Just slide the AFC housing back to the best compromise between smoke output and acceleration/spool-up.
