Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) What amsoil product for nv5600?

any of the 5w-30 Amsoils will work,. I use the heavy duty diesel 5w-30 and have been very happy

While I have my personal objections to using a motor oil in a transmission, a significant number of TDR members have reported good results using Amsoil's 5w-30 Heavy Duty Diesel oil in their 5600 trannies.

I used Amsoil 75w 90 Synthetic Gear Oil in mine with 20% Lucas Sythetic Oil Stabilizer.

I installed a new NV5600 in my truck a couple of years ago. Used the Amsoil 75w90 synthetic gear oil, what I used in the NV4500. It was very difficult to shift in winter, would grind in a couple of gears. I drained and refilled with the 5w30 and shifts great. It has over 100,000 miles of this with no problems.

just a quick follow throgh put the new mtf 5-30 fluid in and it shifts great! allot better sitting and going to 2nd at a light is better but not perfect. Im sure winter shifting will be better too.
