What are engines selling for?

I thought you guys might have a good idea of what price range used 12 valve 1st gen engines are selling for. Specifically, 1990, still in the truck, 150,000 mi. Just what range these have been going for, thanks, JTMcC.

$2,500 and up seems common. I've seen $5,000 for a 12 valve take out with P pump and complete trans and transfer case in the showroom of a junk yard. It was gone in a few weeks.

That's a little higher than I would have thought, I'm considering parting out my old truck. Any replies welcome on engine prices, thanks, JTMcC.

When I did my conversion I paid $4800 for a complete truck, Drove it home. It was a 1990 1 ton 4x4 standard cab.
