I've got a 97 3500, 4x4, 5spd and still have factory stock brakes. Took a trip to Vegas last December but before going had my brakes checked at about 55,000 miles. I was told I still had 50% of life left on my brakes. I don't hall anything so maybe that's why they've lasted so long.

Having sold & installed more than 2500 sets in the last 3 years with very little negatives and a whole lot of positives,it is pretty hard to beat the Carbo Mets.

I bet you will find your rear brakes are fine, hell unless you adjust them every 6000 miles, they ain't working anyway!

For the front, go to Auto Zone and drop $35. 00 on the Performance Friction Carbon Metallic pads. Everybody that trys them say the stop better then stock, and last longer. Plus (as per the directions) you may never have to cut your rotors again!

I have 80K on my rotors, and they never been cut. (1 factory set, 2 PFCM sets, getting ready for 3rd) No marks, shimmy or pulsation. I just sand them to take off the "shine" before installing the new pads.
