For high HP daily driving and accasional sled pulling or drag racing?

Would the ceramic coated ones with the teflon skirts be one of the best options?

What is everone's thoughts here? Also, what do the marine pistons cost?

I don't think you can crank your truck up w/ Arias pistons without using ether. I would go w/ flycut marine pistons and cam setup from Haisley.

Does anyone know what the marine pistons cost?

Are you talking about the flycut ceramic coated ones with the teflon skirts?

Sorry dude that is what Piers told me.

I don't think you would need forged pistons. What cam are you wanting to use? Is hard starting going to be an issue? I think marine pistons are the same cost as regular pistons. I think they are right around $600.

What Piers was talking about is a really low compression piston like the big boys use, those are the type that need ether to start. There are a few of us that are going to be using a totally new approach to Pistons and Cams in the near future!

Jim

Yes the low compression the big boys use is not starting friendly... . but most of that is in the cam they use.

Besides whats wrong with an onboard ether like the 'old school' school buses use to have on them?
