Recently I changed my TC to a low stall and added the TFOD shift kit. Maybe its my imagination, but it seems that my EGT's have gone up a lot. Also I seem to have much less low end response.

Has anyone else noticed this? Is this result expected, or am I seeing signs of a possible problem? Can someone explain what exactly lower stall speed is? What happens at the stall speed?

I haven't noticed any change in my EGT's ... but the LS is much tighter at the low end, once I get moving a few yards it really takes off.

The stall speed is the point where the convertor becomes a fluid coupling. If I am correct the stock stall speed is around 21-2200 rpm ... so . . much more slipping in the convertor. The lower stall speed applies the power to the rear wheels in the rpm range your Cummins is producing it's best torque around 16-1700 rpm.

After I installed mine and 600 or so miles later . . I noticed #1 and #3 exhaust manifold gaskets had sprung some leaks ... . probably just a coincidence . . but something to keep an eye on ...
