2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission what brand fuel pressure gauge(in cab)

I want to get a fuel pressure gauge to mount in the cab. What are the good one? and what ones to stay a way from.

I mounted a Hewitt dual-pressure gauge in mine several years ago and I've had no issues. I'm monitoring before the primary filter and after the GDP Mk-II, just before the CP-3. Yep, I brought the lines inside the cab. I can watch the condition of the lift pump and also have an idea when I need to change filters by watching the differential pressure. Doing a search on here for "Hewitt Dual Fuel Gauge" will bring up the thread.

First you need to decide if you want an electronic gauge or mechanical.Then you can make a parts list.You do not want to run fuel inside the cab.If you go electronic you should start with a snubber or a home made restrictor,a remote mount for the sender and the gauge.If you decide you want to go mechanical you can skip the remote mount and add an isolator.With either you will need an adapter to plumb in either type.My point is you are adding a bunch of stuff that you don't really need on a stock truck

Thanks Bob4x4, I was going electrical on the gauge, and if you can buy a kit with everything you need .For the truck being stock its not. my dad put a banks system on it, so I'm not sure how much has been changed, I know it has the dual ram intake, I've read the installation book that come with the kit and I see they have messed with injector pump , the turbo, the intake, air filter KN, new banks exhaust system and put a boost gauge and exhaust temp gauge in the cab.I know the boost can go up to 35.but have not pushed it to see how high it will go. Westach...it matches the dash gauges well. Also have matching boost/egt.

I ran Isspro gauges in my 02, not sure if they make an electric fp gauge though. if they don't, I know Autometer does.

With the things you say have been messed with, I'd make sure I was religious in caring for that transmission!

I'll second the Westach gauges. Aside from matching the cab extremely well, you are buying high quality US made gauges designed and hand built for the aviation industry. I also like their DUAL gauges which lets you monitor two parameters in the same gauge.

I installed a Dakota digital (I think) about 15 yrs ago.
All it is is a oil pressure gauge with 2 senders. 1 pre filter and 1 post.
I just put a switch on it so I can see both with 1 gauge.
It's OK, it's definitely NOT precise. At least mine isnt. I'm pretty sure taking the time to route some dedicated good grounding would help.
Some of the LED bars have stopped working, but I can figure it out.:-laf
I would have preferred 2 separate mechanicals, or 1 gauge with dual needles, but couldnt find them when I was doing it. Plus, the pillar mount only holds 3 gauges....
I drilled & tapped my fuel filter housing, but the pics are long lost in an update of the site, in my old album.

I bought my Autometer fuel pressure gauge in 2003. Never had an issue.
