2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission What brand?? Heater Core

Well I hate it but i have to replace the heater core in my 02 any advice!!

what brand to go with advance,napa,rock auto they were 45 to 80 dollars and the local dodge dealer wanted 250 plus is it that much better then the others.

I recall one of the TDR write ups mentioned the Napa heater core because of the swivel connections.

yep and pressure test it before the install... I had a bad one new out of the box for the jeep... you have never seen angry till your done doing one and its a leaker... :{

There are times when the extra cost of oem is the best choice. I know that power steering pumps qualify. Considering the work involved in replacing the heater core that may be true of them also. I am convinced that regular flushing of the system and replacement of coolant is critical for extending the life of heater cores (mine is the original). My 01 is apart now having just none this. I'm waiting on my new dash. (Old one was cracked and just came apart with manipulation. ) I went with Mopar. Probably more $ but didn't want to skimp on a part that is this much of a pain to replace. The instructions in the old TDR mag. ( I forget the issue) was spot on.
