With 99,000 miles on my rig and original shocks, it's time to replace? What is goods shocks for comfort and handling? i want good roadholding and damping without being too firm. Also, I want durability. Is gabriel good enough? monroe sensatrac? I would like feedback about what you guys are running and how they changed the feel of the truck if any. i have 35 12. 50 17 tires but run mostly onroad and empty. HArd to buy a gasser and get 15 mpg when I can get 17-23!

I run BDS 9500 series on my '05. They give a slightly smoother ride and control brake dive and lift on acceleration much better than stock. I've put about 10000 miles on them and I am happy with them. Mike.

I like my Bilstein 5100s, look good and perform well, I think

I like my Bilsteins also. They provide a stiffer ride than the stocks one's did. I changed mine with 15000 miles on the truck. One of the old shocks offered NO resistance when compressing/expanding. I would say you are due for a change. ;)
