Which cam plate do you guys suggest? Of course I'd like maximum HP. :D

I do very little towing of my TT, but it's something to take into account.

My plan is to do the cam plate, GSK, and cluch. I might need a 16cm2 housing, but I believe some of the guys are still on the stock 12cm2.

Bump the timing to about 15-16 degrees, and call it a day. :D

Eric

PS Oh yea, how much HP would this setup make?

The #11 works real good in my truck and I dont think you will have clutch trouble unless you run the plate full forward. Mine didnt slip till the 370s went in. I tow a 6500lb trailer and even with the mods listed it didnt slip towing as I didnt hammer it towing like when empty.

The #11 is a great plate. But unless your clutch is is great shape you'll being giving the clutch some thought also.

Eric - See signature... . However, the plate #'s for the AT & 5spd are different, see chart at dieselpage.com

I'm estimating my hp/torque at 270/675. Joe D. can help you make the correct decision on the plate.

Also, if your TT only weighs in at 5-6K you should not have any problems with a similar set-up like mine, I tow a 10k 5th wheel and can pull just about any hill at 60+ (plenty of power, it was the EGT's I have to watch) and this was before the 215's and AFE went in. The CAT and muffler are next to go which should help on the power AND reduce EGT's..... if that does not do the trick, then I will look into a bigger turbo housing like the 16cm.

As much as we all want to do it all at once, I have found that upgrading (BOMBING) in steps is a much more logical way to do it. This way, you can assess each BOMB individually and it gives you something to look forward to on the next BOMB, plus it does not destroy your BOMB fund all at once and gives you time in-between to save up.
