They can void your warrantee because of any mod that may have attributed to the failure of the part in question. IE, fueling box could void engine warrrantee, a pyro hole in your exhaust manifold could void turbo warrantee (chips), large tires could void balljoint warrantee (added leverage), etc. Pay to play, I am my own warrantee station.
In addition to what Scott said. If you make a mod to the truck and something fails and the dealer claims that the mod caused the failure you will have problems. If they are stubborn you will have to take them to court. By the time all the delays in the court system have been satisfied and you finally win, the truck will be worn out.
I have purchased a extended warrenty, I've read alot about being able to refund these? Is this true? I've only had the truck 1 month. And would you recomend it?
I really don't have an opinion about extended warrantees. I didn't buy one. If you intend to modify your truck in some way that affects warrantee coverage it may be void when you need it. If you keep your truck completely stock, that's another thing. I couldn't stand it.

I got a refund on my extended warrenty after having it a couple of months. After I decided I wanted more hp I felt the warrenty wouldn't be good anymore, so I cashed it in. It was pro rated for the two months I had it. Took a month to get a check from them no problems.
my warranty ran out a long time ago! three of my buddies drive 03-05 trucks and all have substantial upgrades. if you are worried about doing mods to your truck and voiding your warranty you shouldn't do mods or if you can find a mechanic at the dealer that doesn't care about what you have done then you became very good friends with him. we have one here in elk grove that I send all my friends to.
Remember these words . . . I am my own warranty station!!
Routine maintenance and wash/wax doesn't hurt warranty. If extended warranty is from DC it is worth the cost, not from DC waste of money. Same for all makes, from manuf. generally okay. What kills warranty is very dependent on your dealer. Just realize you mod you can be made to pay for failures.
