As I stated above, I'm having a cutom set of twins being built. I'm getting very excited to get them put on. They should be at my door within the next few weeks. Anyway, just like the the anticipation of my DTT transmission and it living up to all the hype, can I expect the same hype from twin turbos?

I would think so, I know that I am quite pleased with my twins.

what twins do you have ? and how are your egts.

I got my twins from Olee Poole. S300/S400. Egt's are currently higher than I would like to see them at WOT, but I have not had time to dial them in properly yet. Overall EGT's are definitely down from the single, especially considering the fact that I went from Mach 4's to 6's at the same time. If you have questions on the particulars, you can PM me.

CBrabec, what twins did you get? I run HX40/3Bs and with 475hp (so far!) in fuel they work great as a DD and towing and drag racing! As stated dial-in is crucial for best results.

How hot is it?? Do you do any towing??

I too have a set of twins on the shelf, ready to be installed (stock/s400). From what I understand, I am not supposed to have any issues with egt's.

It's about 100 degrees cooler than with my 62/12 I was running prior; this is for daily driving. Towing heavy (12k), I haven't had any issues yet, but I know the twins aren't dialed in because I can easily get to 1400 if I don't keep an eye on the pyro when I accelerate on the on-ramps and such. I am hoping once I get them tweaked properly, temps should stay under 1200.

With my twins I can pull hard up a 7% grade weighing a around 20k total in 5th and stay around 1250*. zif they are matched correctly they will keep the egt's down. I think they will even come down some if I can getting my fueling better.

CBrabec- @580hp I would have put a S400 under the sps62, the 40/3bs are good to 6-700 but not as efficiant as the s300/400 esp. @ 700hp! Give it a try but I think you'll like the s3-400 set better. ;)

what specs on the s300/400 IE, s300 = 62/65/14? there are ALOT of possible combos for the s700 twins and depending on fueling/timing/rpms you may want to up the s400 to a 480.

I know someone who was having crazy drive pressure issues using the stock turbo in a twin setup.

He is much happier now after switching to a 62/14 in place of the stocker.

Well, after talking to Brad Morse who now has the HX40/BHT3B setup I'm getting, he is very happy. Brad was in the low 12's 1/4 mile with his ps62, but now is in the very low 11's with this setup. Brad talked to RC Cox who has this setup and did over 800hp on diesel only and over 1100 hp with nitrous. All while keeping his max boost at 55psi, as well as his egt's not getting over 1500* in the 1/4 mile. Those things impressed me the most. I looked at other setups, but most of them would have me hitting 80-90 psi boost going down the track. The way I look at it, the less psi in boost I make, the less I have a chance in breaking something. This is an old school setup, but has shown me positive results. My builder, Joe Hellmann told me I will have no problem getting 750-800 hp out of this setup with the other mods I have yet to install. I will keep my sps62 on the side, if down the road I decide to try something new. Thanks everyone for your input. I'm very new to all this, and everything is still a learning experience.

JCasper,

Thanks for the input. The way I figure, I don't have anything to loose starting with this setup. If it doesn't, I'll throw in the s300. However, Nathan (IdahoCTD), says that this setup will work just fine.
