Here are the tests:

Two members with identical trucks take a 1000 mile joy ride with the cruise set at the same speed. With the fuel put into the tanks verify the trucks are doing the same numbers, ie MPG.

Next install one of thes black magic item on one truck. Then take another 1000 mile joy ride with the cruise set at the same speed. With the fuel put into the tanks verify the differences if any, ie MPG.

Then remove the black magic item on the one truck. Then take another 1000 mile joy ride with the cruise set at the same speed. With the fuel put into the tanks verify the differences if any, ie MPG.

Repeat this test for other magic fuel filters, i. e. http://www.preporator.com/

Joe, I'm sure a lot of the money goes to this website, the people who maintain it and to the magazine. There is also other income from the advertising. What's left over is profit, isn't that the American way?
I don't feel like I'm being ripped off, does anyone else? Wouldn't mind seeing the banner ads eliminated, most other for pay sites don't have them and I doubt if many folks here pay attention to them.

I'd like to think that it's someone's full time occupation to create this magazine and I hope that person gets more than that as income. I would expect a magazine owner to make good money, like good ole Hugh!

What I am saying is that some of us do not have the time or dollars to test out these toys. How do we know if the fuelsep is not just a new kind of snake oil for dummies?

Real objective testing will show us what the products do in REAL LIFE.

Your subscription money buys you just that, a subscription to the TDR magazine. This website is not budgeted a percentage of that. The website is mostly self-supporting from ads and I understand that R Patton and Co have made investments from time to time.

This is just my understanding gained from conversations over time. I am not privy to any recent changes there may or may not be.

I do believe the TDR editorial staff read this... but you might consider writing them email directly with your suggestions.

I never had any concept other than TDR was a for profit organization. We all bought a subscription to a magazine as part of the membership price. Since I joined in '94 I feel the information passed on by the membership and the TDR staff couldn't be purchased for 100 times the price anywhere else. Since the start of the web site, the friendships formed and the fun I've had (especially when I'm stuck in a motel for the night in Nowhere USA) is priceless. Bottom line --- KWITYERBELLIAKIN --- You've never gotten so much for $35. 00
