I just got my truck back from the dealer last week and they said they replaced "Boost Sensor" I watched and it looked like the one

we plug our boxes into (Map sensor plug) anyways I just found time to install my Comp Box and Blue chip cover. I drove the truck less then ten miles and the engine light came on(and is still on today) and I have codes P1693 - P0253 - P1689. I disconnected the batteries and the wire behind the air box for about an hour and plugged everything back in and I STILL have P0253 and P1689. Oh and I put Dielectric grease on the plugs.

What should I check for now?

I did a seach on 1689 and come up with a

P 1689 No Communication between ECM and injector pump module and I looked on my sheets from OBD2 and it says "Oil pressure control Solenoid Circuit Malfunction"

thank you.

Several have reported...

problems with the wiring related to the Blue Chip covers. I have read about this several times on here. I would check the wires and connections of the bc cover. I am not running a comp, so I don't know the details.

the issue was . . DO NOT GROUND TO THE COVER as it will fry the pump brain... and be careful not to go in to far with the pin tap of the cover as it will short/ground thru the internal wire or break the circut board that can't be replaced do to unavailability

A little FYI for everyone who is planning on purchasing a Blue Chip Pump Cover. The newest design that Chip has made of this cover doesnt allow you to over tighten the pin causing damage to the circuit board of the VP44. This is per Chip of Blue Chip Diesel. I have the new design and you can tighten all you want.

I had a similar problem when I installed my comp w/ a Blue Chip cover. When enjoying the new power the truck would stumble and then pick back up triggering a code. It turned out that I did not have the screw on the cover turned in far enough, I had been warned about over tightening and cracking the board so i was very conservative, and it was not making good contact. It took a few more tries to get it tight enough but now I have been running with out a problem for 5 months.

I went to AutoZone the first time and had them read the codes and reset them, the second time I just waited. after a few days they went away.
