I am going to be in need of a clutch in the next month or so... I will hopefully be around the 650hp range and need a clutch that will handle it... I have been hearing that the dual disk clutches shift alot slower than a single... I dont plan on sled pulling. . I mostly use it for daily driving, occasional street race, and pull aprox. once a month around 14,000lbs. What do yall recommend i run??? I was leaning toward the south bend DD 3600 or 3850 Street Comp

6 CB...

Well since a true 650 and a single wont work. That leaves you with the DD's.

I would suggest a 3600 12CB sprung hub version from SBC (of course!).

You are going to need the DD for that horsepower/application... However, with you rowing the gears "racing" your truck is difficult. Autos are going to be faster.

Yeah I know i'm not really gonna take it to the track or anything, but when someone I know has a 03 powerjoke with two stacked boxes and no other mods talk crap I wanna blow his doors off and not loose due to the fact the clutch wont let shift fast enough. . I know there are a few guys who race manuals and I was just wondering what works the best... Wes

For 650hp, and the headroom to be mean to it, I would look at the Sprung hub 3850 12cb. This will hold, and handle a pretty fair amount of abuse. I think you will be too close to the limit on the 3600. Pedal pressure and will still be reasonable and engagement will be civil. The 3600 and 3850 are the same price, so no loss there going bigger.
