Took my Jeep out of storage from the last two years, drove it around some, hurt my back pretty good, and went to a friends for a California BBQ, ( just burgers) All in all I had a great time.
Went to the horse races and watched my mother in laws horse come in second place, then took the Jetski out on lake Conroe near Houston and promptly beat the snot out of myself on the roughest water known to man. My lower back still hurts a little. I think I bruised a kidney. It was fun
Spent the morning doing the same thing I do everyday, mucking out. Started doing the rear disc brakes on my wife's Explorer too late, around 1 or so. I already had new discs and pads but ended up running for a weenie little set of drum brakes they use for the emergency. Rear disc's = two sets of brakes = more $$$. What's with that? Topped off the day with way too much wine with dinner.
Since our beach trip was cancelled due to the Typhoon. A small group of us went to our local clubs and drank till they threw us out. Nothing like partying with Russians.
Got both the Polaris's out and went for a ride with a few freinds on Sunday. Got back built a fire in the pit and proceded to get all @#$%&* up. Woke up and went to my sisters and wired up 3 rooms in their new addition. Even on my days off I have to work. Next weekend I have 2 more rooms to get ruffed in and I'm done till the drywall is up. After that they start painting and I start putting down the trim. The best part is I get paid nothing for doing this. :{ ( well they pay me in beer I guess )
Well for the first time in ten years I didn't have to work Labor Day weekend. Which hasn't bothered me much because here in Denver going to the mountains on a holiday weekend usually means dealing with more idiots than you can count. But I did this time so that I could take my open water dives for my scuba certification. Did my open water certification dives plus a couple more just for the heck of it. 6 dives at 10,000' by Leadville at Turquoise lake. Only idiots encountered under the water were myself and 2 others that were there with me until the drive home Monday. Normal 1 1/2 hour drive took 3 and that was leaving by 10am. Good thing we left early heard that it really got bad after 2pm.
I went arround the neighborhood re-grading the roadsides in places and cleaned out a culvert. Then we (family) took the powerboat (new toy) out for a ride and picnic at a nearby island. (with the whole rest of the world--Busy day on the lake)
Brake pads and coolant flush & refill on the front of the Goat. That lower radiator hose clamp was a scum-sucking, bottom feeding, low-life, back-stabbing, fart-breathing, son-of-a-biscuiteater to get back on.
