Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Need Some Help

Tried the grid heater thing, and it doesn't seem to be the issue.

When I am driving down the road, it seems like a big hand is holding back the pickup. I press on the accelerator, and it picks up just fine, but pretty soon it seems to bog down again.

Fuel pressure is good... any ideas????

What is the grid heater thing that you tried?

Without anymore detail, it sounds like a bad APPS (Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor). When mine went bad the truck would bog really bad at the normal cruising position of the throttle pedal, but if I floored the truck it would accelerate fine.

Another possibility could be a bad MAP sensor.

The grid heater thing is that I unplugged them thinking they were still cycling.

The TPS makes sense. When I was on vacation, I experienced a dead pedal and tried the unhooking the batteries and "retraining" the the TPS. Seemed to work for a while, and maybe I need to do that again.

Thanks!
