The mirror vibrations at highway speed in my 99 Quad Cab are driving me insane. You cannot use them to actual see anything other than there are headlights back there somewhere. Any homebrew fixs. I was thinking about that spray foam insulation you can get at Home Depot but there has to be something easy i could do.

I heard of this fix a long time ago in TDR, before it was a website, but never tried it. Get some of the mag wheel weights, the type that stick on with foam tape. Run the bottom of the mirror out where you can stick some of these on along the bottom, & see if it helps.

Are you using a bug shield of any kind? They can effect the aerodynamics and couse the mirrors to shake.

I didn't believe it till I replaced one with another and solved the problem. The one that was real bad had flipped up wings on it. I think the good one is a Mopar supplied one.

What do you need mirrors for? You already know where you've been... ... ... ... Unless you want to check your hair... ... ... use the visor mirror... ... . Whoa!... ... .....

All kidding aside... ... ... lose the aftermarket deflector and by the mopar units... ... ..... they were wind tunnel tested on our RAMS.

I have a 2000 4X4 quadcab, and the mirrors have vibrated from day one ... with no bug shield of any knid. I recently got a 2002 4X4 quadcab from my company (yes, I now have two), and the mirrors vibrate exactly the same on it (with no bug shield). Has anyone out there solved this annoying problem?

what kind of mirrors do you have? this is first. then if the truck is under warranty, make them replace the mirrors until they don't shake. i have swing out tow mirrors and had the drivers side replaced because it shook all the time. steeler asked no questions just ordered it and put it on.

Seems the flip up towing mirrors are notorious for this.

I personally have the electric/heated mirrors on mine and do not have any probs. However when I have the money I am going to purchase the CIPA extendable towing mirrors. Oo.
