I pay $762 per year.

That is for- Liability $500,000

Uninsured Motorist $300,000

Collision $500. 00 deductable.

Insurance Company Liberty Mutual, located in town of around 100K population in Missouri.

Just wondering what it costs to insure our trucks in other parts of the country?

I'm with Allstate and pay 767/year for about the same options you have. That's with my wife and another car and the house. We have clean records. I pay another insurance company $56/year for the Ninja. .

I pay $251 for 6 months with Progressive. Add the car (Bonneville) and Michigan Catastrophic Claims Assoc. Fee (whatever that is) and it's $641. I pay in full so it's $553

250k/500k bodily injury liability

20k/40k un/under insured

comp and broadform collision w/$500 deductible ea.

Not sure what the $1,000,000 property protection coverage is. Maybe they raised the wrong part. Seems like that would be better for the BI liability.

Interesting post.

Insurance rates will vary RADICALLY according to your record, location, age, when and where you drive. I'm talking as much as 300% or more  . I personally have Mercury, and pay less than $450 for mine. I also only pay $104 to insure my fifth wheel. I know of a guy in my area who pays $2350 a year for 2000 Dodge CTD:eek:   !!

Kev

$704 per year just for the truck. Of course consider I'm in calif. and you get hosed:{ on everything. I don't want to know what I pay for all of the vehicles. My wife just told me what the truck costs. We insure... (1)2001 Dodge, (2) Mercedes,'84 wagon,'85 sedan both Diesels of course, (2) motorcycles, '76 Honda 550F 4cyl, '67 Triumph Tiger Cub, (2) classics, restored'55 VW,'39 Willys Pick-up.

The insurance companies and the DMV know me by first name!

Chris

I have been useing Geico for 6 years now and i called them to lower my $1200/year rate and they said no. (not one claim or ticket) So I just shoped around and got a rate at Safco for $750/ year  So guess what Gieco Im takeing my 4 vehicles and cancelling my policy and going to save my self $1000+ a year.

Your rapeing days on me are over Geico! And guess what I am going to tell everyone I know Oo. Oo. :D

I think it is interesting how they come up with these rates. I am in my early 50's do not use my truck for commuting since I am retired and I live in a small town. I have never had a ticket and I have been with Liberty Mutual for over 35 years, they also insure my house and my other vehicle. I am carrying higher liability than you and my deductable for collision is half your amount. If I adjusted for those two items I would come in at around $600 per year. I guess that makes it pretty close. I like doing business with Liberty Mutual, they have been great to work with on the hail damage to my truck and the roof of my house. I would not change companies over a few $$$. I just thought this thread would be informative and let member know what others might be paying incase they might be paying to much.

Liberty Mutual

I have been with Liberty since I first started driving. They also insure my house, and my rental properties. I have had cheaper quotes, but sometimes cheaper is not necessarily better.

I would have to look at my policy to be sure but my 3500 is about $253/year because I am able to put it on my farm policy. Full coverage with a million umbrella. I am able to put my trailers on with various theft and liability coverages a normal policy can't do in my state. That all sounds good until you add up all the various aspects, homeowner's, business, insurance on my own personal animals, etc.

I can't put my wife's car's on though so hers are on a regular policy. Her Explorer is full coverage and he POS Nissan Z is just liability. Those two run maybe 1k/year.

ouch!

I pay over $1600. oo per year for my 98 dually. I do have one speeding for 10 over, and one accident claim for backing over a Geo Storm in my driveway:D . I was halfway down the drivers door before I felt any resistance. Cracked the plastic on the bottom of my sport tailight housing.

Farmers Insur.

$695 @ 6 mo's. multi car, one driver under 25 !

American National Property and Casualty Company (ANPAC)and they are prompt on claims also !

wife's '97 'stang is $618 and the boy's '00 Accord is $1335. one claim in the last 3 years when I backed up into/over an Dodge Neon with the TT. Dummy was way too close, but know what, there was ZERO resistance (giggle) !:D :D :D

I have a female friend that drives a 2001 Mercedes S430 ($75,000 car). In the past 12 months she has had 2 accidents and just got a DUI 2 weeks ago. I can not imagine what her insurance rates will end up costing her???

If she can even find a company willing to insure her:{

With Allstate and my 2000 CTD it is 1200 a year full coverage, and $50 deductable on almost everything. For my 95 Suz 1400 it is only $56 a year liability. I need to shop around for different ins on my truck though.

I think you will find that if you up that deductible to $500 you premium will be 1/2 what you are now paying.

Wow, and I thought at 34 and never getting a ticket I was doing pretty good

I am paying just under $700 annually for insurance on my Ram, State Farm, 300/500k, $250 deduct (I think). I have thought of shopping around although SF has treated me pretty well (two home burglary claims around $2000, and they haven't raised rates).
