starting to get upset with dodge on getting my truck fixed.

uncontrolled accelleration/unable to fix as of yet, told to keep driving it and let it break in. are they telling me its a self healing truck!!!!

throw out bearing goes bad at 800mi,,nice,real nice!!

loosing the feeling in my hands do to the vibration in the steering wheel.

ya see the dodge national finals curcuit rodeo is coming to town this week, so what kind of feed back from dodge would i get if i parked my truck by the entrance with big signs in my bed saying what a pice of I TRIED TO BY-PASS THE CUSSING FILTER my truck is and dodge dont have a fix?

what do you guys think? not trying to start a war... ... (yet)

I think you'll have a real hard time convincing too many here that Dodges are absolute crap (although they do a lot of bone-headed things). You should, however, be able to find many with bad dealership service.

My best recommendation is find a new dealer. Yours is obviously incompetent to be working on these machines. Hopefully, someone can recommend one within a few hours of you. It would be well worth your time. They'll be especially interested to hear how you were treated at the last place.

the tech is o. k. the self healing thing & unable to fix runaway is from the regional rep.

basically my truck has a problem that dodge dont know how to fix

went through that with my 01 for 65,000mi swore i woudnt do it again.

Summet, I can understand your frustration and I do have to agree with Boonsur on finding a new dealer that will work with you, but before you do tru this, call your current dealer a schedule a meeting with them to discuss the condition of your truck and when you get there be honest but not mean and simply tell them that you are very disapointed in the truck and the service or lack of that you have received and offer your truck to them and let them know that if they cant correct the problem that you will be forced to take it to another dealer because it is simply not acceptable as is, make sure you let them know that you paid good hard earned money for the truck and that they are jeprodising a return buyer for any future vehicles you may need. If they still give you resistence ask them what you have to do to get your money back on a lemon law and that may get their attention.

good luck and try to stay calm, Kevin

Summit, try having your dealer perform recall CO2, mine would rev like all get go when I would play with lesser trucks!!:-laf After this seems to have settled domn considerably, E- brake seems to work better too for some reason!!!:) Good luck, Mark

i've had the recall done but it didnt change the problem.

thats my point! dodge dont know why its still doing it?

The definition of insanity is doing something that does not work over and over. Sorry I could not help myself :)

Two suggestions - 1. If you really think you have a good tech and service manager then have them call for the District rep to come out and meet with you to resolve your issues. I don't think you have a good tech or service manager or these issues would already be resolved. 2. Go to another dealer and have them fix the problem. If that does not work, start the process in your owners manual for problem resolution.

i have the exact two problems except i have one more my adj. lever is vibrating. there is an easy fix to all. johndeereG post a while back that the throttle stop is binding against the intercooler. the fix is to replace with a throttle stop that has a beveled top. (#1 fixed) vibration i put 2" level kit an 315's no more vibration (#2 fixed or hidden?) I am having my vibration fixed today.

Summit; keep a cool head and good documentation. And believe me; I totally know how frustrating it can be when no-one can solve a problem.

Just a thought:

If after a half dozen or so attempts it can't be repaired see about arbitration and/or nicely negotiating with your dealer to swap out a truck you test drive and accept.

No matter how much we love our trucks there is the occassional lemon.

I really can't comment, just realized I've been Married 3 times :-laf

Summit, is the uncontrolled acceleration after you run the cruise for a while, or when you step on the clutch with the cruise on. The old trucks would rev up when you stepped on the clutch with the cruise on. The ECM would look for an RPM increase and figure you were on ice, or depressing the clutch. That was normal operation because they did not have a clutch switch. If it is exactly the same symptom as the recall, the flash should have fixed it. (possible bad ECM?) Keep detailed notes of the exact symptom and get them to the service manager, technician, and the district manager.

As for the vibration, have you dealer get his hands on the vibration analyzer and they can quit guessing as to the source. If the dealer does not have one, it was a Chevy required special tool.

I wouldn't say that. The other camps sell bad rigs too and thier service is just as lousy. :(

Summit- like posted above, check and see if your throttle control unit is under the battery. If it is, then you probably have the sticking problem referred to above, they have a TSB out to fix it. If the throttle control is on the engine, then your ECM or TPS or both are the problem. Try that on your tech. Good luck!

We meet dodge testing team in Dillon Co ( west of Denver in the mountains) last Aug while on vacation, for the first run on the 2500 and 3500 production. We fallowed the fleet of trucks, trailers and semi to a hotel parking lot and did alittle visiting and hood checking, just about lost three fingers when they slammed the hood shut on the new V-10 when I was looking. The only thing that was in the Cabs of the pickup was a drivers seat and computers with cables running to the truck.

My point is some of the early production of anything is going to be a test, for consumers too. Maybe the best thing would be to try to enforce the lemon law:( or dodge has been know to repurchase it products from the consumer if not happy,I ran across that when i purchased a truck in '99, the previous owner did not like the quality of the paint job on the bottom of the truck so it was repurchase with only 1200 miles on it and I had to sign a form knowing that. Good Luck!!
