What does BOMB mean - is it an acronym?

I know that BOMBing a truck means making it faster etc. , but where did the term originate? Just curious...

Scotty

The Scotty system is an airfilter replacement which is a huge K&N filter mounted from the intake of the Turbo to a hole (that you drill) in the firewall. The Scotty system has been upgraded to the Pyscotty (sp) which now has a housing for the monster filter.

The Scotty Air System originally was done with a cone filter with a 3" opening in it... Then I directed ol' Scott the the RE-0880, which has the 4" opening--hence the birth of the RE-0880 craze.



The Psychotty was developed in the Fall of '99, and I played a part in the testing of the prototype unit. Since then, hundreds have been sold, and there are very few dissatisfied customers.

When Scott1 started "BOMB" it was just "BOM"; it was about a week or 2 later Scott or someone added "Baby!" to the acronym.



Evan do you remember if "BOMB" started before or after TDR was launched on the web? BOMB probably started around August of '99, was it July or August we moved over here from the CDW site??



We do miss Scott1 and the awesome Great White on this forum, hasn't been around for at least 1-1. 5 years

BOMB started before the TDR site came around... that had to be about early July when we were still on the CDW (Cummins Diesel Website-for those of you that weren't around then).



Doc, TLippy was the one who started the KISS club (Keep It Stock Stupid). For the guys that think DC did it perfectly right off the assembly line.

Hey, I don't want to stay stock - I just don't have a trust fund to start BOMBing yet. It seems that I am always having to buy something for my business. One Stihl 044 Chain saw = 4" stainless exhaust, new hydraulic lines for bucket truck = transmission upgrade. Plus I have a kid in private school - $13,000. 00 a year. I guess the Harley has to go... don't ride it much anyway. Anyone interested?
