What does this button do?

I have a button just to the left of the Tow/ Haul button on the upper switch bank that I have no idea what it is for. When I push it a small indicator lights up on the lower right instrament panel but I don't notice anything happening. My only guess is something for the air bags but I have no idea.

Your not driving a 05 are you. On the new trucks its the exhaust brake. It is more aggressive in tow/haul.

nope I have to change my sig. I have a '11 3500. Yes it is a little circle with a puff of smoke around it. So that has to do with the exhaust brake.

Yes that actuates the exhaust brake. Pages 60-61 of the owners manual supplement detail its operation.

Exhaust Break and it is better in tow haul and at highway speeds. Does not do much around town.

Turn on your exaust brake and put it in tow haul mode Accelerate to about 60 and ease into the brakes lightly. You will tell a big difference. Mine will almost break your neck downshifting. :-laf
